The Keezhattur Grama Panchayat is a collective body of elected representatives responsible for the administration of Panchayat Raj institutions. For a Grama Panchayat, it serves as the primary body that implements the decisions of the Grama Sabha and manages day-to-day administration. The key components of the Panchayat are: President – the head of the Panchayat, who presides over meetings and oversees its overall functioning; Vice President – who assumes duties in the absence of the President; Ward Members – elected representatives from each ward of the Panchayat; and Standing Committees – committees formed to facilitate decision-making in areas such as finance, development, welfare, health, and education.
